I know you likely have more questions about using WordTracker to get your easy search engine rankings using my Green Money Line keyword research system so please keep posting your questions to the blog

Hi Colin,
Hope you are well.
With a brand new site, using wordpress, using the KRA pro, using wordetracker, etc – what relkevance do incoming links play to a ranking?
I did get a fast ranking in a few minutes on a new site – but it disappeared completely the next day. Any thoughts?
Best wishes,
Andrew in London
Hey Andrew,
I am doing very well and been enjoying what I have become known for most and that’s kicking back by lakes, streams and the Pacific Ocean enjoying my “Summers of Freedom”
OK, my laptop is always with me so I guess I do work a bit during the summer but when you enjoy what you’re doing as much as I do, you can’t exactly call it work
Anyway, getting to your question.
When you launch a brand new site using KRA Pro and publishing with WordPress it is very normal to see your article shoot to the top search results in Google and then vanish for a day or 2.
On new websites I will try to publish at least one new article per day and that in most cases gets your ranking back mainly because every time you publish in WordPress you ping the blog engines which in turn brings Google Bot back to your site.
I believe this works because of the fresh content factor and the way they index new pages.
As far as links goes, links still play a huge role in ranking.
If link building bores you to tears, then simply keep creating quality content and your rankings should come back quickly.
Link Building Tip:
Ask a profound question and provide the answer on a blog post.
For example, I built links to a post on Crediteria.com when I wrote an article about how to prevent identity theft
Then I submitted that post to Propeller.com and asked the profound question:
Identity Thieves Lurking – Do You Know What To Do?
This caught the interest of bloggers on highly authorative sites who linked to that post saying the Crediteria.com has a very good article on the subject of preventing identity theft.
To build links this way you must provide useful information and I will not directly have any offers on the page however I will internally link at the bottom of an article like that to an offer page.
Hope that helps
Colin
