ThinkPad X100e – More info

The Lenovo ThinkPad X100e, also known as IBM ThinkPad X100e or Edge, is the company’s lightest and slimmest ultraportable notebook. It weighs in at under three pounds and features an eleven point six inch LCD screen, which is very roomy, considering how small the machine is. It has a multi touch touchpad that functions fine with just a couple of fingers and the keyboard is comfortably designed for prolonged use (and is spill proof for those inevitable coffee ‘baths’ for your computer). It comes in midnight black or heat red, with a highly polished finish. The ThinkPad X100e is also very portable; not only because it is very light, but also because it can hook into the internet through a variety of ways, including Bluetooth and Ethernet cable. The ThinkPad X100e also has a battery life of up to five hours with the Lenovo ThinkPad battery inside. While not the strongest battery on the market for a notebook, it’s still long enough to let you do quite a lot of work on the go.

The ThinkPad X100e was built to bridge the gap between the IdeaPad and ThinkPads by pandering to both the regular consumers and the business owners. It is best used by students and business owners/workers, but can be used by anyone who can best make use of its ThinkVantage Technology. ThinkVantage technologies are the bundle package of programs which makes business life easier. It has hardware and image builders which cuts down on production costs and speeds up your work. The ThinkPad X100e also has a fast and powerful processor for its size and excellent OS support, as well as an AMD Athlon processor. This makes it ideal for business owners and workers, but it also works great for students who have a lot of work to do and are always on the go.

The ThinkPad X100e was only recently released for sale in stores, though word of it of course leaked early, sparking excitement over its specs and its ultra slim and elegant appearance. It didn’t fail to live up to the hype either, with it competing easily with other comparable notebooks on the market. It’s only around $450.00 as well, making it affordable for yourself, your business or your students to use. The ThinkPad is definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a new notebook for your business or for your classes.
